A Revelation

Terra Date: February 28, 2021  |  By

I saw a woman at a cemetery weeping inconsolably as she lay face down on a grass covered grave. Suddenly, another presence materialized, and I saw a round clay vase suspended in the air. This is going to sound disgusting, but inside the vase were the “guts” of the one that had died. I didn’t have to “see” it I just knew what was inside. Believe me, I was confused and alarmed by this revelation.

Obviously, this is a strange dream and not a B-Movie. I didn’t realize immediately what this disturbing message meant but I understand it now. What do we commonly say when struggling to make a decision? Listen to your gut. Pay attention to the still small voice – for it is there to save your life.

A vase as a dream symbol usually represents something personal that has great value and beauty. Check that box in total agreement! For what this item represents is incredibly precious to me. The contents, of course, represent ones gut feelings or intuition. The other feature of this dream, the grave, is a dire warning to pay attention.

What is Truth?

The precursor to this message was born out of another rough week. The reasons are too personal to share here but much has been discovered that has changed the course of my thoughts and feelings. The new normal has been a revelation of sorts – forced examination of ideas, beliefs, and alliances. Lines have been drawn, crossed, and recalibrated. There have been gut wrenching surprises and painful conversations. How will we get through this if we continue to allow fear to dictate our choices? How can there be such a disparity in rational thought between people? And, sadly, how can people that have spent a life time together still not trust each other?

John 18 NKJV

28Then they led Jesus from Caiaphas to the Praetorium, and it was early morning. But they themselves did not go into the Praetorium, lest they should be defiled, but that they might eat the Passover. 29Pilate then went out to them and said, “What accusation do you bring against this Man?”

30They answered and said to him, “If He were not an evildoer, we would not have delivered Him up to you.”

31Then Pilate said to them, “You take Him and judge Him according to your law.”

Therefore the Jews said to him, “It is not lawful for us to put anyone to death,” 32that the saying of Jesus might be fulfilled which He spoke, signifying by what death He would die.

33Then Pilate entered the Praetorium again, called Jesus, and said to Him, “Are You the King of the Jews?”

34Jesus answered him, “Are you speaking for yourself about this, or did others tell you this concerning Me?”

35Pilate answered, “Am I a Jew? Your own nation and the chief priests have delivered You to me. What have You done?”

36Jesus answered, “My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, My servants would fight, so that I should not be delivered to the Jews; but now My kingdom is not from here.”

37Pilate therefore said to Him, “Are You a king then?”

Jesus answered, “You say rightly that I am a king. For this cause I was born, and for this cause I have come into the world, that I should bear witness to the truth. Everyone who is of the truth hears My voice.”

38Pilate said to Him, “What is truth?” And when he had said this, he went out again to the Jews, and said to them, “I find no fault in Him at all.

The Heart

Take from this passage what you will. To me, it speaks volumes about our times. About judgments and accusations and being “defiled” by different ideas. Of persons in positions of authority that have far too much say on how we live and die. That we should recognize wrongs and fight the good fight knowing full well what it may cost us. We have all come into this world to spread Truth and Love and to lean into the pure embrace of the one true God for our sustenance and safety. That we must not rely solely on expert advice, or those that we perceive to be our betters, in the naive belief that these weak and often compromised men and women are infallible. Rather, we must search the heart to find the answers we seek to balance out the information we gather from our world.

Jesus was accused by his brethren because He threatened their belief system and way of life. Despite the pressure on Pilate to convict Jesus – he instead found no fault in Him. He listened to that still small voice from deep within and saw the undeniable Truth and Power emanating from the man that stood before him.

Eventually, the Pharisee’s found a way to manipulate the man-made system and force Pilate to give them what they wanted. He knew it was a travesty and in disgust he washed his hands of the whole business and let the evil commence. The mob had been easily convinced to believe all that they had heard about Jesus and despite all the beauty He brought to their lives and the miracles He performed – the people chose to believe the liars that occupied the venerated positions in society. It makes no sense – but there it is.

Reflections

Often times, after the words take shape on the “page”, I find that it is like looking into a mirror. The words now reflecting back at me uneasily as I realize where I too have failed. The injury caused to another brought about by hurtful actions are never justified. As you watch the domino’s fall, one after the other, with precision and speed, you realize there is no way to stop the chain reaction. Everything hits the ground and the pattern that once was is no more. It is similar but forever changed.

revelation

The outside world seems to be on life support. It’s taking us all down with it and loading us up with all sorts of trauma that will need to be dealt with on another day. Some are deciding to grasp tightly to the lose thread of this story as it pulls away from the tapestry of life. Still, others are adamantly finding new threads in the hope they can stop the unwinding of our world and replace the moth eaten parts that have leveled nothing but destruction for far too long. Can we stop this unwinding together? Can we find common ground to build a different future that takes humanity up instead of down?

I know that many of you reading this may not find much use for dream interpretation. In my experience, it has proven to be a very useful tool in threshing out life’s many tests and problems. I don’t maintain that every dream is of value but you definitely learn how to spot the one’s that are less like a dream and more like a lifeline. Encoded answers that are easily understood if you just get out of the way and listen.

Revelation

We can pull the plug on this thing and change the trajectory. I believe there is still time. It’s up to us. There is no magic potion that will make this stop. How we decide to address the outside aberrations fully depends on how we handle the necessary inner conflicts of the heart. This is primarily a spiritual war. It’s an inside job. I am definitely struggling to walk this tight rope. A micro step in the wrong direction can send our good intentions sideways and, like dominoes, there is no stopping that momentum until the last one drops and there is nothing but memory. This pseudo pandemic only ends when we say it does.

This will be my last post for a while. It’s time to focus on the next leg of this journey. I am looking forward to the return of Spring and the celebration of renewal through Christ our King. I pray you all hear His words and find His protection to be sufficient.

It’s not over until we say it’s over. Words echoing through space-time, I just said this 2 hours ago on a Snapchat story prior to reading this.

TEXAS , ALABAMA, MISSISSIPPI and other states are re=opening and canceling out the mask mandate. It’s over folks. This move will invade ALL other states, until we all are released from this manipulation of mankind.
