Health Freedom
I couldn’t sleep last night. The clock on the wall seemed more than happy to have company as it announced each hour that was passing – 1am… 2am… I just could not reconcile what had happened today. Lines have been crossed. I have moved beyond sympathy for those that insist on infecting and controlling other people with their fear. As if fear is the new law and order. Where people’s feelings dictate and rule over another. I never signed up for this inverse abusive relationship. I never agreed to this – to give up my health freedom.

Natural Grocers
Yesterday, Ken and I entered Natural Grocers as per usual without face masks. As we walked by the faceless bots it was clear the energy of the store had shifted and not in a good way. I am getting nervous for the first time in here. We quickly grab what we need and head to the register.
The young cashier offers us a box of disposable paper masks and asks if we’d like one. I politely say “no thank you”. Those three words have always been enough in the past. She then insists and warns us that we can’t buy the food if we don’t put on the masks. My thoughts ignite in a quick flash as I wonder if this young person, being directed by her employer to discriminate against another human being, has at least been trained according to OSHA standards on proper face mask protocols. Does she understand there is no evidence to show that face masks reduce infection rates? Apparently, society at large believes this ritualistic act will “stop the spread”.
I have reservations about being ordered by a cashier, that strangely, doesn’t have a background in medicine, to cover my face for “everyone’s safety”. I feel for her, she is just following orders and doesn’t realize the personal legal ramifications that could be levied against her for this violation of another persons civil rights.

The CDC states, “Cloth masks may provide some protection if well designed and used correctly”.
That’s the best they can do – an ambiguous statement about the efficacy of non-medical style face masks. No one wears a face mask “correctly” especially children. In other words, wear a face mask or don’t, it won’t affect transmission rates or whether you get sick or not from COVID19 – but you may end up with other health problems.
People are developing some awful infections that can’t be dismissed – mask mouth, bacterial and fungal infections of the mouth and face, and respiratory infections, just to name a few.

At this point, I am admittedly perplexed… I say, “My body, my choice, is that still relevant?”. She stares back at me with a look in her eyes (as I can’t see her face) that I could only read as “blank” and picks up the phone to call for back up.
Intimidation
A man arrives in a flash and stands like an ogre with arms folded across his chest in full intimidation stance. Now what? Things start getting weird. He has no name tag and just glares at me so I ask “Who are you?”. He replies, “I’m the store manager”. I respond, “Okay, we are just here to buy food”. I say this wondering what I have done to deserve such aggression. We’ve been patrons of Natural Grocers for well over 15 years now. Well, he says, “Then you’ll need to wear masks or you’ll have to leave”. I tell him my husband has a sinus condition (and it’s obvious as he is mouth breathing and nose talking). The “man in charge” says it doesn’t matter. The CDC itself, the lords of COVID lore, clearly state “Do not put masks on anyone who has trouble breathing”.
I feel like we are in a stand off now. A bizarre episode of the Twilight Zone and I’m waiting for Rod Serling to walk up and tell me what the hell is going on. All this ugliness because we dared to enter the store to buy food with legal tender and a complete face. Does everyone now think that walking around with an exposed face is an act of premeditated murder?

20-49: 99.98%
50-69: 99.5%
70+: 94.6%
What happened to an individuals legal right of refusal to not endanger their own health due to an existing medical condition? This “requirement” makes no sense to me and I cannot go along with this stupidity. No, we refuse to wear a mask. The manager’s response is to pick up the phone and threaten to call the police because now we’ve gone from loyal customers to “trespassers”. There’s no time to think about the best case scenario when you are being threatened and humiliated. Ken is now feverishly calculating what to do next so he sternly says, “So, to buy this food I have to wear a damn mask?”. Read that line again and just listen to how foolish it sounds.
Disbelief
Our brains spinning in disbelief Ken grabs the mask and puts it over his mouth and tells them to get on with it. The whole thing completely unravels from there. We couldn’t keep our cool. The F-bombs did fly and the word Fascist was used to describe the manager’s actions. I said in exasperation “We will never shop here again” and he said “That’s fine. Go to Smith’s see if they’ll take you.” By this time the replacement cashier or the “virtuous enforcer” took over and said we had no right to treat them badly and I’m thinking – you people have humiliated us and told us we didn’t have a right to buy food – you really want to go there? If you are going to discriminate and treat people badly it’s absurd to wonder at the reaction you receive in return.
There are people in the store watching this play out and I’d wager that more than 50% of them don’t believe this crap either but they stand there and do… nothing. It was a perfect opportunity to do one simple thing… take off your mask in solidarity. This was your opportunity to be the change you want to see in the world. I say this not in judgement but simply as food for thought because this is only going to get worse.
Conditioning
We are now second class citizens it seems. Our legal rights have been denied and our personal health decisions have been transferred to the grocer acting as doctor acting as judge threatening us with the use of violence (aka police force). Is this really what you want? Conditions and controls placed on ordinary everyday acts of life? What do you think will naturally follow once the vaccine is rolled out? Most certainly, more conditions and terms that will require you to show your papers in order to participate in society.
Note:
The state and local “authorities” have been ginning up COVID19 cases and claiming hospitals are “unsustainable”. Nothing is happening here in Ogden, UT outside of the usual respiratory case loads.

Given all of the above, why push this mask mandate so aggressively? To create derision, confusion, destruction and physical/mental fatigue? To keep us running in circles, worn down, chasing the mechanical bunny at the dog track while they go about dismantling our civil liberties and creating their “new normal”?
Control
Natural Grocers website states that “Your health and well being are our top priority” and that “Our parents taught us that Nutrition Education is the foundation for building health and being in control of your life“. Now, because two middle aged people, one not even able to breathe properly, defied the mask order – this Natural Grocers now has “mask police” posted outside the store. Are we really a threat? Epic fail Natural Grocers.
This is not about protecting you from a virus – which is impossible. The first phase of this war against humanity is to gain control over us with our consent. To see how many will simply do as they are told just because the directive comes from an “authority figure”. To see who will follow orders unquestioningly even if it means causing harm to another person. This is put to the test in the Milgram Experiment conducted in the 1960’s at Yale University by psychologist Stanley Milgram. He wanted to understand what drives good people to do bad things. It’s time to take a good look in the mirror and ask yourself why you are “just following orders”.

I succumbed to mask bullying in order to get a new pair of boots. Shameful, I know. I wore it below my nose and in the middle of looking for shoes, a store worker came up to me and said “You need to pull your mask up above your nose, wear it properly.” Annoyed, I responded “You are fortunate I respect businesses enough to follow their rules…but I was simply trying to breathe through my nose.” I started to walk away and she followed…I spoke to my wayside with utterances of “it’s a free country…you don’t get to tell me what to do…leave me alone while I shop…masks don’t even work…” until I finally lost her, paid and got the hell out of there.
It ruined my afternoon. I hadn’t bought a brand new pair of shoes in over 5 years. I just wanted to shop in peace.
No Shame… You do what you must do when the need presents itself. Next time, calmly ask for their name. Tell them the legal term for what they are doing is “discrimination” and they can be personally sued. Their employer will not come to their defense as they know the “health emergency” status does not dissolve our civil rights. Not yet… They want us to believe that fear is the new law and we no longer have rights. It’s a self perpetuating fear loop where each level of society is coerced through intimidation and threats which keeps the lie alive and people operating like automatons. It sounds egotistical but we have to keep shining light everywhere we go. You got this!
