Formidable Beauty

Today, I will write what it is on my heart. Where I currently reside there is a biting chill in the air as we experience our first snowfall of the season. This chill is not unfamiliar to me as its presence arrived long before winter crept in to blanket us with its formidable beauty. Society has been shivering in fear of one form or another for nearly two years now…

As Christmas draws near we all find ourselves in a time fraught with uncertainty and weariness. It rubs up against us like coarse sand paper until we are raw and bleeding. I see it everywhere – these wounds that go untreated and unnoticed as we shuffle past one another in a desperate attempt to navigate this strange landscape. We are told it is “this” when we know it is not “this” but “that”. Lies have infected our minds as we aid the enemy in its war against us. We dare not speak any truths in public for the spell that was cast seems to have turned all words upside down and inside out.

There is an absurdity that hangs in the air and swings its arms wildly in every direction to great effect. It threatens to knock us down and scoop us up in order to restrain our movements and stifle our thoughts – to ‘keep us safe’ from ourselves and from each other. It is a prescribed madness that, sadly, many have yet to fully realize.

This is supposed to be a time when the magic of life is meant to be renewed, celebrated and shared! As the seeds of life lie dormant in expectant delight for the Sun’s return, so to, we rejoice at the coming of the Son! We are meant to reflect upon our lives and, like the sleeping flora around us, renew our strength and ready ourselves for the coming seasons of change. To address what is wayward within us and take corrective action to expand our heart’s wisdom and bear good fruit. It’s one step at a time, one foot in front of the other, as we reawaken to the magic within.

What is this chrysalis of despair and hopelessness that has wrapped itself around our world? It keeps us suspended in time and waiting… waiting for what exactly? To break free. This will happen at different times for different people and in different ways. The world will never be the same again and neither will those that live within it. The great reset is coming but is more aptly to become the great awakening! All things work together for good. It’s a dimensional dichotomy that requires a willingness to let the scales drop from our eyes to allow for renewed vision and understanding.

Necessarily, we must stand or fall on our own. Just like the butterfly, that struggles to free itself, we must exhaust ourselves in this effort to transform from one form into another. If we sit still and wait for someone else to extract us from our confinement we will have gained nothing. We will be malformed and our wings will not function properly. They will not be strong enough to carry us where we need to go.

We change. We are born again. It is with much struggle and often unbearable pain that we eventually emerge from our chrysalis. Our shelter and our covering must be loosed at some point in our journey. We can choose to stay in place or we can choose to endure the pain and uncover the Truth of who and what we are. I have heard it said that “If you die before you die then you won’t die when you die”. What is the meaning of this?

Looking at that monastic motto, then, we see that it means:
If you die —    If your egoistic-self dies
Before you die —  prior to the death of your physical body,
Then you won’t die —  then your essence-Self will not die
When you die.  —  when your physical body dies.

Briefly put, then: we must let go of our egoistic-self so that our essence-Self will emerge and remain.  If our egoistic-self dies, our essence-Self will never die.

To put it another way…
This is talking about Initiation. As in, initiation into the mysteries of the spiritual realities, beyond the limits of the mind and body. This (at least partly) is what happens after death. We ‘fall apart’ so to speak. The physical and mental aspects of us dissolve back into the Earth and its atmosphere, leaving, our Spirit is free to rise into the spiritual worlds.

An Initiate is someone who has already done this without actually dying. They have been through what most people only experience after death, but they have done it while their body is still alive. So it is as if they have died without dying.

The Initiate is still living and participating in this world but from a different standpoint of consciousness. They don’t ‘believe’ the limits of their body and mind, they see beyond, they experience a greater reality.

Then when they do physically die, there is hardly anything to let go of, as they have already ‘died’. So it’s as if they don’t die. They drop their body like a worn out coat and pass through the threshold into after-death spaces, as easily as walking from one room to another.

I stated previously that we would struggle alone in our efforts and this is a hard truth. That, however, does not mean there won’t be help and guidance (both from above and below) along the way that will come in many different forms. Let us remember what is good, what is holy, and what it means to be a true human being. That we are God particles, seeds of Light, that want nothing more than to experience Divine Love in this place and to share this Love with everyone we meet. This is a time of grace and mercy and a time to offer and accept the gift of repentance and forgiveness.

We are the very essence of formidable beauty. Do not allow the locust people in our midst to extinguish our Light. Now is the time to shine for all you are worth. Remember, you are stronger than you know…

May you have a blessed time, a Merry Christmas, with family and friends and may our collective Light burn a hole through this veil of darkness. Let’s send it back to the land of shadows where it will be consumed by its own kind.

Now, put on some earphones, close your eyes, take a deep breath, and listen with your heart… you’re gonna be OK.
