Ninja: Japanese, from nin- persevere + -ja person
If you are alive you are a warrior. It takes great perseverance to face each day. Challenges present themselves mostly in the form of relationship struggles. Personally, I find it very difficult to effectively connect to people as all interactions seem crippled by the fear of the other. Deep seated convictions and belief systems are good on the one hand yet the other hand is all too ready to slap down any conflicting information that seems to shake their foundation.
I have never been content with the strangeness of our world and know that what I think I know about life is but a drop in the ocean. I slowly began to realize that you cannot argue your way into another person’s good graces. You cannot force them to see the world as you see it nor get them to understand a relationship can only be genuine when it speaks from the heart. I have had to unlearn and then relearn that which has been hidden in plain sight.
There are three main areas that demand our attention.
+ We must exercise the will and wisdom of our “I” to identify the many traps and snares that are set upon us in this fallen world.
+ We must keep ones temple, ones physical body, fed, nourished and healthy. It is a responsibility we should honor.
+ And, most importantly, the spiritual warrior fights to stay in alignment with The Christ – that we may find Love and Truth – the only salve that heals all wounds and keeps us on the straight and narrow path.
In this way, we achieve balance – we learn who we are, why we are here, and what we are meant to do in this world. Perseverance is required. You will stumble and fall many times. Don’t ever give in and don’t ever give up.
In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was a God. It was in the very beginning with God. All things came into being through Him, and except through Him, was not anything made that was made. In Him was the life, and the life became the light of men. And the light shined in the darkness, but the darkness did not comprehend it.
John 1: 1-5
